Location

Our self-catering holiday cottages are just a five-minute drive from the A68 on the south side of Jedburgh. Both cottages are based on our working family farm with sheep and suckler cows.
Jedburgh is a small quiet town with charming shops, cafes, bistros and award-winning restaurants, which is situated 10 miles from the border with England. Jedburgh was once a battle ground but now offers visitors a warm welcome, the town is halfway between Edinburgh and Newcastle on the A68 trunk road. The Abbey is, without doubt Jedburgh’s jewel in the crown and worth a visit as well as the Castle Jail and Mary Queen of Scot’s House.
The other Border towns of Kelso, Melrose, Hawick, Galashiels and Selkirk are just a short drive away and well worth exploring. The local area has much to offer and is an increasingly popular location with a range of activities including fishing, mountain biking, golf and walking.
The Borders Railway has made the Scottish Borders much more accessible with a service running from Tweedbank near Melrose into Edinburgh’s central Waverley station.
The properties are in a dark skies area for those interested in stargazing.
